Favorite point of the Scout Law: Helpful
Not the easy kind—the kind that shows up when it’s inconvenient, when no one’s watching, and when there’s nothing in it for you. That’s the real deal.
Meet Jeremy Cohill-Swiger - we call him JC (Mr. JC), our Grant & Donations Chair. He's one of those behind-the-scenes guys making sure this Pack has what it needs to thrive. He jumped into scouting in 2025 when his son started as a Lion & doesn't plan on looking back.
JC didn’t grow up in Scouting, but always wanted to be part of it. Now he’s making sure his son (and the rest of our Pack) get that experience done right.
When it comes to leadership, he keeps it simple: “I just want to help however I can.” No spotlight chasing, just steady, reliable effort to make things better for everyone. Honestly, every pack needs a few more like that.
If JC could teach every kid one outdoor skill, it’d be orienteering, because knowing where you are and where you’re going isn’t just a camp skill… it’s the difference between confidence and calling for help.
Outside of scouts, JC stays busy coaching 8U softball, EPYAL Jr. Pony baseball , and volunteering with New Hope Ministries because apparently “free time” is just a rumor.
Bottom line: JC’s the kind of leader who doesn’t make a lot of noise—but makes a big impact.
